Subject: RE: Farm Accounting software

Auglaize County, OH
We are longtime QB users, both desktop and QBO. I like it because Intuit has a huge network, every accounting firm knows how to use and support it. It makes things like a balance sheet and income statement simple.
If you just have one entity to track , I’d recommend QB online. But if you’re trying to do it cheap, use an older copy of desktop that doesnt require a subscription. 2020 or so I believe may be the last years they sold a perpetual license. All of those other farm specific platforms will cost you far more and uphill learning curve. We use “classes” in QB and that has opened up a very good look at profitability that we can track by crop year.
