Basically---what are you going to do now that the price went up? not buy gas? walk?
This is one of the reasons we bought a Chevy Bolt EUV for our primary running around car. Charged at home directly from our own solar panels for most of the year it has a very low cost per mile. A great little car with 200-250 mile range depending on the outside temperature.
Yes we do have a gas SUV and a 15 year old diesel farm truck but they only get used when needed. Both should last a long time with as few miles as I now put on them.
