I did take the time to watch portions the long video somebody posted. That was very interesting/intriguing. Especially glaring was the guy who planted beans with half springs, half hydraulic down force in heavy cover crop residue. 17 1/2 bushel difference. Those are conditions with the quickest payback.


I’m guessing he had a significant amount of seed on top of the ground? I’ve seen many fields that don’t average 17bu “here” in a bad year. In a 30-40bu yield environment I don’t see downforce adding anywhere close to that many bushels.
