I listened to a radio talk show about this, there are groups devoted to maintaining all Indian names . These folks , mostly of Indian heritage, believe it is an honor to be named after them. They claim over 90% of all Indians approve of being recognized in mascots, team names and places. Let them have their way, we owe them something.
