I'm kinda backwards I guess but I think springs are better than air. As the row unit moves up the springs pull harder. On air is a unit moves up the air is pushed across the whole bar and doesn't get you the extra down force.
Same, when in doubt increase the pressure,I plant a lot on the 400lb setting it’s been working good for years.
Anybody seen or done a split planter down pressure study?
