Bought a planter with air downforce about 5 years ago previous planter on springs. The one advantage is it’s easier and faster to adjust if you want to change your down pressure setting. The rest is a wash or disadvantage to me as far as operating and using. Don’t know that I’ll ever switch it to springs but I have found myself wishing it had springs at times
