It sounds like you are talking about the fiscal deficit. If we balance the fiscal budget, we would still have a trade deficit (but smaller) and your issue would be resolved.
I have a handle on the difference between the two. But we obviously cannot balance the fiscal deficit. In fact, we are going the wrong direction with it rapidly. What you're talking about is strictly economic theory. I'm attempting to talk economic reality. Half of our country wants to assassinate Trump or Musk for attempting to reign in spending. |
