I think the people are most upset about the self inflicted nature of the losses in the stock market. If someone loses a crop to hail, the reaction is a muted sorry for your loss. If someone sprays the wrong chemistry and kills the crop, the chatter spreads like wildfire about the stupidity.
How about closing your coal mine and killing the whole community over a grifting power grab. Then promoting every use of electricity we don't have. That makes sense. I long for the older days. Lol.
