Quantified??? Went from springs to air to hydraulics over 3 years. Currently on the 3rd year with hydraulic down pressure. Less hair pinning on trashy fields, depth control and accuracy is a big deal. It’s about even and uniform emergence. I won’t consider going back. Avg yields have gone up by 50 bpa across the entire farm, but other changes have been made at the same time. So who knows how much due to down force.
