Southeast Colorado | I still believe that our deficit spending comes about from the general lack of wealth spread through our nation. There is just no way you can run a Trillion dollar world trade deficit and not have it show up somewhere. It in turn drives up the need for welfare and Medicaid. I realize it's a chicken and egg story with regards to which came first.........but back in our glory days we didn't have folks on the free ride public dole. When we shipped all the jobs overseas...........we brought their poverty here for our lower and middle classes.
Now putting the Genie back in the bottle is quite the conundrum. Especially when the wealthy are fine with the status quo.
