Subject: RE: Early planted beans

Iowa
You’re also from INDIANA, he’s from Minnesota. Totally different ball game. Replant beans are 100% cost to the seed company. Most beans are delivered untreated, and returns are dumped at the elevator - however the dumps bushel cost paid to the seed grower is offset by the bushel dumped - so the seed company has the conditioning and trucking - probably $1-3/unit. Trait fees/genetic fees are settled at the end with GPOS reporting. Free replant you’re giving away the bushel, so that cost is $10 for the bushel (today) plus trucking and conditioning - so today those costs would be $13-15/bag.
