| Correct, I have never defended a patent personally, but I have witnessed the process of filing them. And you are correct, you are required to defend it. Which leads us to the next associated problem, our legal system.
Sadly, it isn't what is right or wrong or how the law reads, its which party can drag it out and waste more money in courts until one party decides to give it up, that's who wins. I do have experience with that and I see it happening all around us every day. Not sure of solution but it's a HUGE problem. | |
