Thank you someone for telling the truth. I’m a seed dsm and farm as well - every year there are replants. In the last 3 years the number of freeze related replants have skyrocketed. If you want to loose free replant policies- go ahead and keep pushing the envelope- the industry has noticed - you have to remember that those replant bags are 100% COST and probably eat up profits on 2-3 bags of normal seed. So if you have 1-2% replant it eats up 4-6% of total profits - bean counters notice that.

Average frost free date for sc mn is May 10.

Im not saying one ways right or wrong, but know your risks, and if you get burned at least have the balls to tell the truth on your crop insurance and to the seed guy.
