Iowa | I'm in north central Iowa, today is the first day for planting for crop insurance. It's been in the high 20's at night for the past week. I'm sure some started going today because they can, but the soils still cold enough that I haven't seen a planter near me. There is a flurry of anhydrous and dry fertilizer being put on, but not a whole lot of anything else yet. It is supposed to be warming up this weekend, so I'm sure by Monday there will be a lot more activity around here. | |
