East Central South Dakota | This is exactly what I don't get. We are trying to treat symptoms caused by deficit spending. Both sides of the aisle are equally at blame. Why can't we elect a President that will tell the House and Senate I will not sign a budget that deficit spends. Trump has done a lot with Doge and attacking the career employees that run Washington. Trump would get some help if he included both houses and parties in the cleanup in spending.
I always defended Obama with his Obama care. Medical costs doubled, insurance costs doubled, and it led to consolidation and vertical integration in health care. I don't think it was a success in a lot of ways, but at least Obama took a shot at it. Nothing from the other side on healthcare. At least Trump is putting himself out there on the trade deficit, he just needs to demand a balanced budget and that would make the rest of Washington join the fight against the deficit. |
