But the problem with the trade deficit national debt correlation is ...now it looks like tariffs to shore up trade deficit and thereby getting national debt under control....won't work, with our Achilles heal exposed.
Tariffs were NEVER going to work for our national debt issue.
National debt...is it's own thing. It needs to be addressed on its own. Just like some of us have said.
