I was mainly referring to DOGE where they have a website and people can apparently also sign up for emails to explain what they are doing. But this extends to almost everything really. They are explaining, almost in real time,, what they are doing or planning to do. Sometimes it doesn’t happen because their plans are known ahead of time and those sitting on the opposite side of the negotiating table can react before plans get implemented. Along a similar vein was Trump telling the public to buy now. While some are offended many don’t realize that it is almost unheard of for the general public to be given advice on buying in. Whether a person agrees with it or not normally only government officials have access ro knowledge for market timing in these type of situations. At best we find out at a much later date that government officials with inside knowledge made out like bandits due to “insider trading”. It’s hard to argue that it was insider trading with Trump when the required knowledge was not really contained “inside” government.

And of course there are going to be some situations where total transparency will not able to be achieved due to the sensitivity of some of these negotiations or actual national security concerns. As a whole though, it is hard to argue that the Trump administration is operating in the dark and not letting their citizens know what they are doing. Both the news and virtually every social media site being full of info of what they are doing is proof of that versus versus what was available with previous administrations.

But you are correct in that everyone has their own concept of transparency. But I do believe it is hard to argue that the public isn’t more aware of what this administration is doing than any previous administration. If you believe that to be the case can you elaborate?
