We actually have some trials out for wireworm on corn around Caldwell, Idaho. What is reported is that biocontrol nematodes attack the smaller wireworms and full effect takes about 2-3 growing seasons. This is from a single application.
Organic corn growers following a good rotation have a reduced risk from rootworm, but the grass based cover crops bring in wireworm. |
