Certainly, Trump blinked. He was crashing the markets and destroying the economy with his tariffs which were not tariffs at all. This was nothing but a national sales tax by another name. It was an idea he got from Peter Navaro when Trump Jr. saw a copy of Navaro's book and cold called him in the runup to the first Trump election.. Nothing but a way to get the bottom 95% to pay for a massive tax cut that will go to the richest 5% of the population. It was never about bringing back jobs to the U.S. It will take any company 5 years to design, locate, permit, build the factory and bring  relliable production online. Thump has three and a half years till the next election. No company will make the comitment and investment to dulicate a plant they already have online outside the U.S. when the next president can erase any of trumps tariffs with the stroke of his pen.
 I am sure there are many on this site that have a net worth that puts them in the top 5%. Good for you! But don't think that  the rest of the population in the bottom 95% are  so stupid that we can't see what is happening.
