So as a CEO do I build a new plant in the US or wait until this all blows over?

Are you a ceo looking to build a new plant?

I was a CEO before retiring quite a few years ago. I also took great pride in the fact that our ag products were quality and 99.5% made in the USA from USA materials with USA labor paid a fair wage with health insurance for my employees and their families.

I almost daily turned down offers to make our components cheaper at various overseas countries.

We also exported a significant amount of equipment to other countries including Ukraine before the invasion.

I am pleased that my son running the company now has continued our philosophy on products he still produces. Rights to many of our products were sold to Deere a few years ago and we have no control over where they are manufactured.

Our strip till and related products are still all US manufactured. A few years ago my son opened a new manufacturing operation in Milwaukee in a facility vacated by another large equipment manufacturer.

Honestly the only part I can remember ever purchasing from overseas is a unique rubber gage wheel tire from France which was not available from any US manufacturer. We did buy some high quality fasteners from Canada.

My question above is hypothetical and applicable to someone such as the CEO of Apple.
