South Texas | That's because it is not getting fuel. The engine must spin a certain rpm before it will fire the injectors, I think 300 rpm. If you go into the diagnostics menu you can go to speeds and watch the cranking rpm, see if it is reading anything, or too low. When the sensor gets weak it won't read at low rpm. You can also go to sensors and look at the fuel pressure, see if it builds to 20something, and if it holds after stopped cranking, or if it bleeds off quickly. Again all things a dealer should know and check before pulling an engine, but experience says they don't know much. | |
