| I'm perhaps getting a little out of my lane but yes the social issues platform of the Dems is going to be a big problem for them until they let go of some of the silliness (nicest words I can use). Vulger photo's of a man turned woman topless at the White House? Utter insanity and you don't win public opinion with reasonable people.
Right now the R economic policy is unknown. The D platform has been more protectionist and suddenly the R is either very protectionist or very global. Or maybe it really is all about China, but that doesn't really explain tariffs on Caribbean islands and China's competitive nations. Hard to make decisions with the lack of direction.
A protectionist economy will under perform and have a lower standard of living for it's citizens than a similiar open to trade. That is my lane and that has been proven.
Edit add: 90 day pause on reciprocals and the market is up 7%. Free trade is the better policy for "do the most good".
