Clark, SD | Agree 100% here, when I started I ran on the belief of as low of debt as possible. After sprayer payment this spring I wont have any debt on equipment, land, or operating LOC.
Unfortunately my view of ag in general isn't very good. I think over the next year or 2 there will be a lot of farm bankruptcies. Trump is picking a trade war with china that we have no chance at winning and will plunge us into a large recession...maybe larger than the great recession. If that happens, land prices will decrease and I think that will be the beginning of the end for a lot of farmers who have been borrowing tons of money. | |
