I just had a little bit of a "thought" if you want to call it that, thinking about all this. What if, and hear me out, what this does is force Europe to defend Ukraine to the teeth, give Russia the territory it has already occupied, in return for opening back up the taps on Russian energy?

I don't think it's likely, but is it possible? Would it be a **** deal for Ukraine? Sure. But can Russia take on a Unified Europe behind Ukraine? At this point, not really.

I think what we're doing is probably ensuring, not reducing, the chances for an all out European war.
