| Being this close to retirement we moved nearly all our assets into treasuries last summer, still have some stocks but not much.
Don’t have anything that needs bought, we will sit tight.
Still have some old crop to sell, yet to sell any 2025. All the inputs were prepaid last August. Hopefully the prices will be honored. Rent on one farm has been reduced from last year.
Some wetter ground has been accepted into a water quality program, some hills have been accepted into CRP. Hopefully a person can trust the government to honor those signed contracts.
A year ago or so I think I told the younger folks here to hang on tight, it’s white knuckle time now, hopefully you have a good grip. | |
