| Like a degenerate gambler on a bad streak, his plan is to double down. Last night in a rambling speech he announced that very soon pharmaceuticals will be tariffed.
Project 2025 could be the playbook that he is following. Step one is to fire anyone in government who is not loyal to him. Step 2 is to ignore judges rulings that are against his causes. Step 3 is to circumvent individual liberties. Step 4 is to have panic in demonstrations in the streets come to a point where he can invoke martial law. Once the courts and legislature have lost their powers of checks and balances, along with military control over a nation, he can have sole power of a nation.
Granted I even believe it is a stretch for it to play out that far, but if you look at the actions taken so far, they tend to mirror the project 2025 playbook.
Hopefully a more reasonable solution of congress standing up will happen. | |
