Nebraska aka the boondocks
The way I read it, they own a shade over 2% of foreign holders, but only .8 of the total pot. Japan is number one, and Britain and China have about the same amount. The narrative seems to be the Chinese hold it all. The social security admin, holds more than the top three countries put together. Practically speaking, the fed had a way bigger balance sheet in the recent past than if they absorbed all the Chinese positions. My math is only a close rounding, using the modern “mental math!” After checking my mental math, it is 2% of the total pot, lol.
