coast of Maine
AS far as possible distance is best.I have a farmer near here whom does not isolate from their silage corn. His sweetcorn corn at times tastes off.Customers tell me of their issue with taste. There is no field corn grown in this county but we actually need to isolate our supers from augmented and SE's as well. This distance can be 100 yards or so.Small blocks so it seems 100 yards does it.I had an issue ,,grew this highly popular super sweet variety,,though it was only so so.Seed guy said"what?""did you plant near an SE?",,well we had a customer prefer'd type that was close to this super in pollination times, had been doing blocks close.Problem solved .
