| A few years ago I started getting calls on my cell from the "National Sheriffs and Police Officers Memorial fund (or something like that). The male caller had a very memorial voice and each time he asked for "Elinor".... when I told him he had the wrong number he would immediately go into his spiel "well maybe you can help me blah blah blah..... During the last election the sheriff's associatiion must have sold my number because I suddenly started getting text messaages from the democrat national committee for donations.
About a year ago, I had a little fun with the sheriff caller guy. When I answered and recognized his voice when he asked for Elinor, I told his that this was Officer Tom and Elinor had just been arrested for solicitation and since he evidently was a customer looking for her, I would need his full name and address information for further investigations. He gave a big gulp and hung up on me. I don't think that I've gotten a call since. | |
