Subject: Frozen Whipped topping with Jello?

Northwest Ohio

I was wondering has anyone mixed jello with frozen whipped topping for a frosting for cakes? I was wanting to do this for mother-in-laws birthday cake as she doesn't like the sweet frostings/.
