It does appear we agree. Fair/free trade should be the goal, but lets be careful applying strict economic theory and only requiring ourselves to follow it. I am not sure why people are hung up on Navaro, Bessent has much more influence and when watch him speak and answer question you can tell he understands the underlying economic issues. It was fun watching him squirm on an interview about the numbers on the chart. The chart numbers are worthless, not sure why they even showed them. However they are pushing in the right direction. I could have made a much better economic/mathematical justification for them to present.
