Roseglen, North Dakota | Show me in the contract where the hospital "requires" you to use your cell phone. It's not there. So you don't have to. End of story.
In 99% of the cases where medical folks use their cell phones it's THEIR CHOICE. Because of convenience. My Dr does all the time. Then I know it's him.
But I don't abuse him after hours or weekends. Ever.
As for the guy who says he uses his cell but puts the magic numbers in front to block the number, answer me this.
You call your patient, whether it's a toe nail or he has an hour to live.
They DONT ANSWER because they think it's a telemarketer.
Step 2. Assuming Dr that HAS to use his cell phone leaves a message with patient. What number is patient supposed to call? Your highly guarded cell? Now they have the number that you guarded.
Call the hospital and ask for you and play phone tag all day?
I think cell usage by medical is more of a convenience thing not because the HOSPITAL MAKES THEM.
Dozens of friends in medical here, never once have they said they're required to use their cell. They do it because they want to to save time. | |
