Exactly. Most people will buy something to go with the chicken: salads, drink, etc. Those don't get sold at a loss.
Big box stores like Menards used to sell 4x8x1/2 sheetrock for a loss, knowing you would need screws/nails, tape, mud, etc. Marketing 101.
