I firmly believe that had the Biden administration let Trump go quietly into the night, he'd have never been the nominee. 4 years of constant law fair made him and his followers a group of mad hornets. The Dems were stuck running Joe or Kamala, but had Trump just been left alone, I don't think he'd have got it.
