Did some mid March. Oats are up. Nurse crop for alpha, orchard grass and a small amount of trefoil and Timothy.
If I find a neighbor with a round bale wrapper we will silage bale the green oats. And see if we get a cutting this fall or possible graze sheep November on it.
Does anyone still sow a nurse crop?
