I've got one doing it in the exact same spot. Bad enough it looks like it would leak but so far it hasn't. I probably should go ahead and retire it. It doesn't pressurize with heat since it's prior to the "safety" types and I just keep a paper towel twisted up in the nozzle to keep dust/debris out and slow the splash.
