I drilled 40 acres last fall for a guy. He wanted a bu of oats with the 25 lb of alfalfa. Pure sand I thought it would never work. Guess what we got one hell of a good stand of alfalfa and it was dry dry last fall .
I have an 80 to do this week under a pivot. Will put 1.5-2 bu of oats with the 25lb of alfalfa.
Does anyone still sow a nurse crop?
