Id agree, with where we are in the cattle cycle, coupled with current trade issues, it seems like Russian roulette to not take LRP. But with a $120 premium, depending on what you paid for them, and your COG, you’re looking at insuring yourself to a loss, to prevent a big loss.

Times like this is where I’m thankful most of my beef is sold by the lb hanging. Everyone says I’m too cheap at 3.75, but most of my long term customers grasp that I’m not gouging them now, but I’m also not going to drop the price much in the future. Marketing is honestly my biggest fear with expanding, but I keep thinking I’ll hit a ceiling with how many I can sell for freezer beef, and I haven’t yet.
