Subject: RE: Y drop vs Dry Spread

We clamp some 1/2” flexible hose on to nozzles. Then they get run into an old air seeder boot that was a splitter. The weight of boot keeps them down. Going down straight rows we get 28% about 8” from plant. When we fertilize here roots are already meeting in the middle of row so I’m not concerned with getting right by plant. We do get a little burn on end rows but at least plants don’t get knocked down like the guys we used have do it for us. Would probably work even better if we just did 60’ but we do full boom as they are fairly light.
