Southeast Colorado | I've got a couple of those Speedrite 6000 chargers. I've got a couple of half mile pivots with 3 phase power feeding them. We put transformers to get them down to 120 volts.........but because we've got closer to 500 Volts, instead of 480...........the transformer can't get the voltage low enough. After burning up a regular 120 volt fencer.........we now use the Speedrites. They drop the voltage down to about 14............instead of the 12 they should be. But the Speedrite can handle it.........and MAN ARE THEY HOT! Much hotter than when you plug it into a regular 120 volt plug. The plugs at our pivots will quickly burn up a drop light bulb. | |
