Subject: Y drop vs Dry Spread

In my area the options to top-dress corn are I can make some homemade Y drops or hire a high boy Dry spreader... Anyone think Y drop is worth that much extra work? I have 20inch sprayer on 30 inch row, and poor GPS so nothing will match up well.

Ive done it in the past and even when I move to drops around to the correct spacing it still does not track well because my guess row width is always changing. I definitely have burn when Ive done it in the past. If I do y drop ill probably add a couple gal 10-34 and 1 gal K, maybe boron too.

If I do dry It will probably just be urea, or maybe add some elemental sulfer if that wont add to the burn? I know there will be burn with dry too. What do yall use for dry? keep in mind Ill probably only get 1 or 2 rains after this application. Is urea the lowest salt dry N? would AMS be a disaster or okay?

But I guess my main question is in your experience how much if any do you like Y drop over dry.
