| I wanted to get opinions from other farmers. To lessen the ups and downs of farming, I'm considering buying a bucket truck and doing misc. bucket truck work/tree service on the side. At least from what I've noticed, a bucket truck is one thing that seems to be lacking even in bigger operations that have secondary equipment. In your opinion, would I get much demand from other farmers for things like working on bins, grain legs, things of that nature? It sounds like the money is good in tree service, and I've done things on the ground/a ladder that a bucket truck would make it a cinch (topping a tree at 20+ feet on a ladder to clear a power line before the final cut, felling between two buildings). I think it's a sound idea, but want input. Thanks! | |
