North Central Illinois | On the parasite management issue in a humid climate, the only way I've been able to make it work with ewes and lambs on pasture in the warm months is move to the next paddock in less than 3 day intervals and don't come back for 60+ days. So I either take a hay cut between grazings or rotate cattle through in between so forage quality stays up. Once we cool down in the the fall and I turn out on corn stalks/cover crop I don't worry about rotating anymore and just set stock graze. | |
