We went through the same thing 3 years ago. Using a JD 4850. We did not have enough hydraulic gpms. I got a pto pump off of a Big Iron auction and it works great. If your like most 1770 owners you're going to be asking next way the stupid thing won'T stay level or go down all the way. We're still using it but we're still learning about the hydraulics.
