Estate planning seems to be the last message a person can leave to their "loved ones". An exercise in power or defiance, somewhat.
I've found that if they love you, they might leave you cash.
If they like you, they might leave you real estate.
If they want to see you burn in the eternal fires of Hades, they will leave you an undivided interest in some real estate with as many other people that they can think of at the time.
Haha! Isn't that the truth! I had a relative pull something similar in the 1930's that I had to clean up a few years ago.
