I had the gallagher version of that trying to power up 3 miles of wire. Cattle would be out in the morning when it was damp.
Spent $1500, got a speedrite 6000 (6 joule stafix), a charge controller, 100w panel and a deep cycle battery. 10 seconds after i turned it on the cattle were hollering, and that ended my fence trouble. Then the big challenge was getting them to go through the gate; they werent keen on getting within 3 feet of the fence.
