I contacted my estate attorney because I didn't want someone coming after me later on because, so I wasn't dotted. I have already needed him to draft a letter to get her car title switched to my name so I could get it sold.

Mom's gross worth is extremely small, but her liabilities exceed her gross worth by 5-6X and that's who I wanted to make sure I had a paper trail for.

Keep in mind this is a first for me, so I also didn't know where else to go to for help.
