| Sure, reduce the welfare state and make government more efficient. There have been some efforts here by DOGE - I can go along with that, although it seems a bit rammy. Deregulate burdensome / over the top regulations to free up US businesses. Secure the border, but allow a better road map for legal immigration. There have been elements of these things things done by the Trump administration and I support it.
We need to grow the economy faster than the national debt grows. If tariffs send us into recession (lower GDP) and we counteract with government bailouts (increase deficit spending) this is easy to see as a problem. | |
