I really doubt they will have trouble. That said, watch him mount a heifer and see if he lays on them or hold himself up using his hind legs. 30 years ago we had a 2800# Simmi bull that we never bred to heifers but he was used on cows. When his daughters became a significant number in the cow herd, he went down the road.
