All the more reason for China to take Taiwain(or try) now. And would not be surprised with the help of N Korea and or Russia.
Speaking of the waiting game...... we were outsmarted by them the last time this President was in office.
Anyone remember this in his speech when signing Phase one of him touting "THE biggest trade deal in the history of the United States" with China?
"Tell them to go out and buy a larger tractor. Buy a little more land. They will be able to do it!" and yes look it up, that is QUOTE-UNQUOTE. That has never happened (for me anyway).
I say Trump out smarted and you ask how? Before ink was barely dry on the signatures from both leaders guess what happened? CHINA FLU spread. Coincidence.....I think not! 
Ya see, in that agreement was a little contract law term called "force majeure". A French term which is a common clause in contracts which essentially frees both parties from liability OR OBLIGATION when an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of the parties, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, EPIDEMIC or sudden unforseen event. China knew this contract and an easy way out. They had no intention of living up to it and knew it when they agreed with that up their sleeve!.... check and checkmate!
They are smarter than a lot of people give them credit for.
